my 7-bolt crankwalked, and ive read that if it walked and is rebuilt, itll walk again. im wondering if i should rebuild the 7-bolt as the stroker, or find a 6-bolt block and build that into a stroker. its a street-driven car, so reliability is a big concern. im pretty set on getting it built to a 2.4, so im wondering if anyone has had experience with 2.4 or 2.3 7-bolts, and what parts they used, or where they got the kit (if one was used).

Man I definately would not stroke a 7 bolt. If you do there is a fair to good chance it will crankwalk again. I would definately get a six bolt block and stroke it. Maybe the 7 bolt wont crankwalk but why would you want to take the chance. I dont know if you just want to buy a motor or by the parts. Either way contact ffwd connection. He has kits and he builds 2.0's, 2.3' strokers and 2.4's. He will build you an awsome motor or sell you the parts and give you a few tips. One tip I will give you, get the butcher crank. It is well worth the money. That along with an aluminium flywheel that thing will rev like a gsxr. :p
Well maybe not quite like that but you get the point. :D

If it walked, don't do it. Don't even rebuild it. You need a new block. It will walk again.

If it didn't walk, no reason you can't build a reliable stroker out of it, BUT, why? You can exceed the power a 2.4L makes with a properly built 2.0L 7-bolt setup. I aint skeerd. I built my 7-bolt. Didn't stroke it. I could make over 800hp on my setup (but I'm not).

How much power are you really trying to make?
