so hows this sound for a setup i just bought a 91 awd bone stock aside from a hacked aircan and the BC i put in. i have a lot of money i want to dump into it, and i was gonna go with a 3 inch cat back from dejon, 3 inch dp from dejon, ported evo o2 from dejon, evo 16g all ported from dejon, sbr exhaust mani from dejon, wideband o2, dejon lower ic, dejon upper ic made custom for gm maf, gm maf and gen2 trans, big sidemount from dejon, AEM fuel rail and fpr, dejon fi 800 injectors, walboro 255 HP, 2900 ACT with street disc, med-hi dual stage BC, HKS SSV bov, and im redoing the whole front side of the motor. theres other things that will be done to susp. and such but thats just motor set up will that all mix good for a street car on 93 octane, say 19 or 18 psi high side, and 14 psi daily driven seeing as for now im on stock internals. also any ideas on hp ratings 300 something i was thinking at 18 or 19 pounds? also would a stroker kit be good for a street car i still want to increase redline but dont need like 10k like john shep has.

I think your getting way ahead of yourself. I wanted to do the same. I know someone who is running a 12.7 on 680 injecs a 16g and bc set at 19psi. BUT it is all about the tune.

Your best bet is to find cheaper prices. Dejon is a good brand and what not but you can find the same performance and quality from other places. Even used parts will get you started.

Just make sure your cars motor is up to par before you even start modding. I will cause problems in the long run.

I wouldn't run that high of boost on stock internals. It could work fine, but I'd want to be on the safe side. Tuned you could put out around 340HP at the crank. You'll LOVE how fast that turbo spools too.

Just throw a rod and piston in it and you can make all the power you want. It's not too expensive either, just have a competent machine shop do it.

Another exciting subjectROFL..First you need to ask yourself how much power you wanna make 300, 400, 500? Second thing is that you said you also want to have it as a daily driver, and the best turbo for that is abviously the 16g, which you have already choosen. Having a 6 bolt you should be fine with the stock internals, because they can hold up to 400hp, and thats about how much the 16g can push anyways. The stroker kits are good and they help in making power, but they are very harsh on the tranny, and 1g are known to have weak trannys too. If you want to increase the red line then get some cams that will let you rev up to 9000 rpm, and some sprockets. BTW i like your choices so far for the set up, and also include the dsmlink in there or a keydiver if you are not sure about the tunning.

Yeah, first and foremost get some kind of logger. Weather it be a palm style or DSMlink, there's no use in going on what someone told you, because every car is a little different and your car may take 20lbs of boost like nothing or you could see crazy knock by 15lbs.

oh ya i forgot to mention i already have the pocket logger but couldnt i just use the gen2 MAF trans to tune for now, also ive done a comp test, it was good all accross, oh and as for the tranny im sending it in to shep racing to get rebuilt and get the center dif welded and a lsd in the front before i put the stroker in. also someone mentioned there being somewhere cheaper dejon was actually the cheapest i found and i dont want to go used i have the money to get new stuff, but hey new stuff at a lower price is always good just means more mods :) oh and with this setup until i can afford a fmic and want to go through the pain in the ass of installing it and most likely ill get either a 57 trim or 60 trim turbo with it then i only want about 375 horse or so now until the motor rebuild and tranny and then the front mount and bigger turbo. after those im not sure haha well see when we get there.

Wow, another thread about upgrading! I think more then anything, follow the upgrade path on this site. You are getting way to ahead of yourself.

Upgrade your fuel system, get a tunning device, exhaust, intake, Supra sidemount and that
14B of yours should be more then enough to juice out 300whp depending on the tune. Also try to look for some deals in classified section as people sell entire fuel systems as a package.

You are naming some nice parts but the fact is you don't need all that. By reading your post I kind of got the indication that you want 300whp so thats why I recommend that setup. Moreover, the 16G is an awesome turbo as there is a guy here locally, running 11.6 with meth with that little thing. However, don't under estimate the 14B because for most people and there goals, thats all they need.

Cheers
Osman

dsmulla is right you got good stuff listed but you dont need all that stuff to make the 4g63t fast.. i dont have a lot of mods but i got the ones that count for a street tune and run 13's in the 1/4 on 17" street tires.. start with the free mods, then move to stage 1, if its not enough then go stage 2, thats what i have and its real nice
