i had to replace the head and timing belt and after i got it all finished i was driving and after about 4500 rpm a strange roaring sound starts. It comes from the timing belt side and doesnt lose power or boost. Its just it makes me afraid to go that far past 45. If anybody has any ideas on what is going they will all be appreicated. Because i have tried everything that i kno to do

Thanks

uh well its kind of hard to describe its jus like a real loud roaring sound but it drives and sounds completely fine up until 4500

this exact thing happened to me, ill put money that that balance shaft is 360 out, the marks will line up but it will not be in sync with the other shaft and cause a vibration/noise around 4K i have to take that belt off and in the back of the block there is a plug that u stick a screw driver in as u line up the oil pump sprocket witch is connected to that balane shaft i will fell the screw driver "fall" in when its line up it is dramatic u will see when u dop it. Hope this helps im 95% sure this is ## issue

Check your timing tensioner. Take your timing cover off and run the car and rev it up to 4500 and watch your timing tensioner. I had the same problem but mine was around 3k and stopped at like 3500 but after i rebuilt my head I ran it with the timing cover off in the garage so i could let the cams break in and I noticed it was bouncing around at 3k-3500. New timing tensioner fixed my problem. Hope this can help
