Ok I just picked up this car last week it needed a clutch and had your usual idle problems, so i pulled the motor/trans put in my act 2100, timing belt ,wp,tensioner ,bs eliminated yada yada throw the motor back in. now i get to my idle checked all sensors, all but the isc are within range ,get a rebuilt isc play with my biss screw a little and i get her idling around 900 rpm or so. Im happy, close my hood and after 10 sec or so it starts to sputter and eventually stall im like WTF open the hood goes back to normal, close it does it again. so i go over everything possible
sensors-all good
vac lines-all good
timing is dead on
alt.-14.4v
clean all grounds
biss o-ring-good
has a rebuilt ecu
positive terminal is covered
noticed an old alarm hood sensor removed it -no change
has new plugs and wires
the only mods on the car so far are k&n, act 2100, 190 fp, bs removed and free mods done (no mas hacking)
ive had 14 dsm's so far and most of them had idle problems but nothing like this. if anyone has experienced anything like this before or has any ideas please let me know.
thanks in advance
