Finished installing a 255 and an afpr, the fuel pressure is set to 43. Now I have some strange problems.

The car sometimes is hard to start, will stutter for a second when it starts, and then is fine. While going WOT, at like 60mph I put it into neutral to coast and the car shut off....turned it back on while driving and no issues. Next, the fuel level gauge is stuck on 1/4 tank, and the fuel light constantly comes on and off, on and off. Throughout this whole thing, the wideband is where it should be, around 14.7 at idle/cruise and 10-11 at WOT.

Any ideas?

The float is not damaged or stuck, and the fuel sending unit is in good shape. That's why I am confused LOL.

The black and blue wires on the fuel pump plug DID come out during install, but I put them back in where they needed to be.

Starting the car after you install an aftermarket AFPR, can slow down because it drains fuel out of the lines after you shut it off. I wouldn't be so concerned about that.

And did you drop it or try to clean it off with anything during install?

I still think you damaged something on the hangar when you reinstalled it to cause the fuel gauge and warning issue, but...

Did you retune and flash the ECU after you made these changes? You are flowing more fuel now than before, so you will need a different tune.

aside from those tuning issues and possible damage don't you believe he might need a dsm link?

from the car shutting off dont you think he might be running to rich or lean for it to just be shutting off or hard to start?

Yes...which is why I said:

Did you retune and flash the ECU after you made these changes? You are flowing more fuel now than before, so you will need a different tune.

But he doesn't need ECMLink to do that. According to his profile he has a flashable ECU and EvoScan (which he just confirmed).

My wideband readings are perfect atm.

Do you guys know how many ISC steps the biss should be at in ECUFlash? I know in DSMLink its 30-32, is it the same for ECUFlash? ### 30 seems really low. I have it at 30 and I think that might be why it shut of during that drive.
