Winter is comming up so I plan on storing my car. I have a 97 eclipse rs with 97k on original motor. I plan on working on it as well. I'm just woundering what you guys think I should do to it during the winter. Any advice will help! Thanks!

This is pretty vague.

What do you want to do to it?

Make it a drag car, road race car, lose some weight, or what?

If it's none of those then you can just do the regular maintenance that you haven't done.

Timing belt, transmission flush, etc etc etc.

Mostly I would spend your winter reading...
2GNT.com - Power_Stages - help you decide what direction to go in
2GNT.com - Handling_Stages - will depend on goals
http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/dsm...red-questions/272662-first-modifications.html - the basics made simple... THANKS PAUL!

Here are a couple projects you can start getting parts for that will help no matter what.
2GNT.com - Rear_Drum_to_Disc_Conversion - A must even for a DD
2GNT.com - GSX_Front_Brake_Conversion - More important for autox

Drive it, its an rs.

 Pretty helpfull guys... Isn't there someone wanting to know about DSMLink somewhere?

Not all 420a guys are slow :thumb:

Yea maybe a few are "quick" but with all the money you sunk into making it fast, id still rather have a turbo model with the same amount of money dumped into it ...
No they're getting their cars ready for winter because they are "awesome" and they're cars are "worth storing" :tease:
Your 100% correct! Id rather treasure my semi rare car with the mint condition it's in. I don't want my car ending up like 99% of the N/T cars I see....

Wow... you guys are brutal... :D

OP are you storing it and not driving it for the winter or just taking it off the road to modify, that makes a difference.

On the 420 side, I am currently installing a turbo on a 2.0sx neon, so I guess they can be faster but meh. I personally feel it is a waste of time. Turbo awd is the platform I have used since discovering it with my awd rs turbo. It was so much better than my srt4 powered 1g neon.

I would have to agree with other and drive it. I have an RS with 260k miles on it because I drive the hell out of it. It's a well taken care of car, and until I get back to camp pendleton that's what I'm going to be driving until I get my GSX. The 420a can have decent HP gains - in the right hands, but personally the 4g63 is the way to go for HP gains if that's what you want
