I was just wondering if the evo 3 o2 housing really has as big an effect as the description says. It says it opens up alot of horsepower and increases spool time, but I just wanted to know if anyone really felt a big difference when they put theirs on.

Yes it is bigger than the stock 2g. I cant tell you if it does help spool time cause I put mine at the same time I did mine turbo upgrade. It is a nice piece though. I dont think I would pay that much extra for the porting, its pretty big to begin with, unless you are just looking for the little extra help. The only down fall is mating up your downpipe, its studs are a different angle than stock.

it will make diffrence if its CHOKING and need more flow
what the gain if the stock one is more than enuff
so depends wht boost u r running, how high hp ## running and is it on a stroker ?

I just installed mine. I haven't run it yet but I will let you know by next week when my motor is done! I am so happy since I machined the Head and Block. I have 2G piston/1G rod. It will be bad ass...

BTW look at this Pic. You can notice the difference and I know it will make a difference since I don't have to port the O2 housing to match the EvoIII Turbo.

jayrolla , hope u can show us some pic
i own a e3 , bt i dont see the o2 housing can me ported until 3" , even the diameter nut to nut is reaching 3" enlighten me

Ya, I didn't want the hassle of the evoIII and its alignment problems with the DP, so I just bought a Fully ported, divider cut, temp coated 2g o2 housing...Its smooth and probably pretty close to the evoIII as far as size and flow...

What it should do, is help eliminate boost creep, increase exhaust flow, and clearly make more power...Might even make the exhaust a tad louder because of the size and inner diameter
