The 1990 Talon TSI that I have came with acorn style lug nuts holding on the stock aluminum wheels that require the mag style lug nuts
I don't quite understand why these lug nuts are so rare and so expensive. The parts stores want $4 each for themWTF Ebay has 24 for $40 so thats probably where I'll get them. Weird thing is they I went through this a year ago with toyota 4runner and the lug nuts for both the talon and the 4runner are the identical onesWTF Oh, and a few years ago I had to deal with this exact thing on a toyota pickup with old school slot mags. Same stinking lug nuts!
Anyways, heres the lug nut that fits the stock wheels I have. Its got a short shank length of .450" (.550 if the washer was removed which is actually not possible without cutting it off). Overall length is 1.460"
It has a really thick shank measurement of .725". And of course it is 12mmx1.5 in the threads.
PS I picked a few up at the wrecking yard for $1 each but they are pretty rusty so I'll probably get a whole new set.
edit: got the local parts plus store down to 2.89 each
