My friend found out my fuel pressure regalator is working at times then it doesnt work, one time it wasnt working taped on The FPR and my boost gauge works. Can that cuase the boost gauge not to work if its bad the stock FPR???

I don't think it'd cause that. Even if the FPR itself wasn't working, the vacuum line from the intake manifold would still be going through the normal vacuum/boost cycles.

Actually it goes from the FPR to the T for the gauge then to some kinda of emissions relay or something then to the intake manifold. We replaced the FPR with an extra one I have and it is still having the same issue. Maybe the issue is with that relay, I am not sure what it is because I don't have it on my car but it is definately stock.

I can pull of the vacuum line off the FPR while the car is running and there is no vacuum and the car doesn't run any different.

sounds like you need to move the tee for the gauge to the other side of the FPR solenoid, sometimes it closes.

it should be- intake manifold>tee for gauge>fpr solenoid>fpr

edit-your fpr may not have been bad

Ya, thats what we ended up doing, but is that still letting the FPR operate correctly? I'm suprised that it doesn't always have vacuum. Anyways, it works now, thanks guys.

It should look something like this

That is not a good place to Tee into, if you ever blow off the Boost gauge line... Bye bye pressure to the FPR, drop in Fuel pressure at WOT is not good.

Then explain whare to T it off then?

And I've always heard from everyone to do it there and never heard anyone say anything about any side effects or problems. I don't see how you could lose pressure if there is no leaks. It might take a quarter of a second to fill the extra line but that's all I can see.

That makes sense Tyler... I didn't even think of that. I guess just run a dedicated line from the intake manifold to the FPR. Run the boost gauge line to "port P" on the throttle body.

im realy confused everyone is saying conect it conect it there what is the right place????????????????????????????????????????????????????????/
