Stock everything with a big 16g?

can i run a 16 without any feul mods? my 14b was blown so i just got a 16g. i didn't want to have to get a new 14b then buy a new 16g when i got everything for the fuel mods. i guess the real question is will my boost controller keep it at 10 psi? i know the bcs alone wouldn't keep it from pegging the stock boost gauge. i also have a a/f and aftermarket boost gauge now.

You basically answered your own question. Don't turn up the boost until you do something about fuel delivery. IMHO I would set (but first get) an MBC to the lowest possible setting and keep it there until you get the appropriate upgrades.

So to answer your question, yes you can run a 16G in place of the old 14b, but don't expect to max out its potential just because it bolts right on. Having the boost set at 10 psi should be fine. Get a MBC (you can pick one up for about 40 bucks here) and install it instead of using the BCS.

Like DSMunknown said keep the boost low until you get everything else to support your turbo. The hardest part is going to be resisting the temptation to turn up the boost, and saying well another couple of psi wont hurt. Do it to many times and you will be buying more than a turbo.

I posted the same thread not to long ago. Just keep the boost down like everyone said, I was going to do the same but decided on just sticking it out until I got my 16g...Thats Today!! Cant wait.

I dont think its possible to run 10psi on a boost controller, im pretty sure you cant go below stock which is around 12. So if I were you I would not put on a exhaust before you get fuel and a fuel controller because it will creep and you could mess stuff up.
