well...i found the directions for the homedepot one...so im gonna pick up the parts tomm when i take my sis to work....if they have everything i need...do i need to buy some vacuum lines too?

1G's push anywhere from 9 psi to 11. Depends on the condition of the turbo and if you have any leaks on the pipes.

hey, i got some of the parts for the homedepot mbc, but i also stoped by a pet supply store and bought an aquarium gang vavle...is that what i need? does it hook up just like the mbc? anybody on here do it before?

Everything you have to buy can usually be picked up at a GOOD parts store except the Ball bearing and spring... But they should be able to tell you where to get them anyways.

Hopefully these are the directions you have.

Yes, it hooks up just like any other normal manual boost controller.

ok...sorry...just one more thing...is the aquarium valve suposed to have a spring in it? or automatic shutoff? because on this it is just kinda a straight through...and there is a lever to adjust the amount of flow....is that what i need? just wondering because on the other mbc...there is a spring...but will this work? again...sorry for keeping this going...but i was just wondering if it will work...(i hope so)

You are better off just buying a mbc you can get them cheap and they are a lot more reliable than a aquarium valve, also keep the boost below 15 psi until you free up the exhaust.

i am asuming mine is stock @ 12.7 psi(or whatever stock is). we will find out as soon as my pod comes in so i can mount/install my boost gauge.

It varies with the condition of your vacumm lines and IC couplers but with all being equal the stock boost should be the same.

I JUST PURCHASED A 1998 ECLIPSE GSX, I WAS WONDERING WHAT IS THE BOOST PRESSURE SET AT ON A STOCK TURBO? THANKS!

Recently just installed a boost gauge in my car since my controller is being shipped and wont be here for a few more days. I ran the car... and at WOT, im spiking at 13psi and holding at 12. With an air filter on stock intake. Right now that is the only mod that I have installed. I thought stock boost was supposed to be around 8-9 psi and i dont think a filter would bump up the boost 3+ psi??? Do you think there is something wrong with my boost issue or just a good reaction to a simple mod?

that dont sound unusual, ive seen Stock 2G's read 15psi of boost, odd but ive seen it. Are they actually boosting that much ... shrugs.
