I have a stock 2.0l I am in the middle of building want to do stock internals maybe cams and valve springs. I’m running dsmlinkv3
20g
1150cc fic injectors
Stealth 340 fuel pump
E85 tuned
Speed density tuned
egr delete and ac delete.
Wanting to know what my limitations are for a stock block that’ll be street driven on the weekends and some sunny weekdays.

ac delete and sunny weekdays... that might be a limitation. Northern Front Range can get toasty come August. I guess so long as the windows still roll down, just go faster.

I imagine with the parts you are already spec'ing, you're into forged-piston power levels. Not sure if that qualifies for what you consider "stock block" for street use.

Are You talking stock crank & rods, or the block itself?

This will all be up to your tuner as well as your particular driving style. With a turbo that typically builds boost fast and hard like a TD05H 20G, if you're not careful about ramping in the timing and paying attention to load in higher gears you'll eject a rod at 350whp where someone with a larger turbo that responds a bit slower and keeps the timing low until upper RPM range may make 550 to the wheels depending on the dyno.

Larger turbos, softer torque delivery, and higher RPMs (but not too high) are your friend when attempting to get the most of out of stock internals.

@JusMX141 thank you for the info. I wanted to change the turbo anyways as it was a fast hard hitter. So thank you. @Mech Addict it is stock internals for now. I’m doing a 0 mile rebuild so I have another block to build if I want to go fully forged and all. Just wanted to see if I had options for a fun motor without the forged which it’ll be nice at 500 with a larger turbo that takes more time. Sounds like a plan. Can’t thank you guys enough.
