Ok here's the problem the SECURITY light comes on but, if i unlock the door without using the key the alarm does not go off what can the problem be???

Do your lights flash but your horn doesnt go? If so, its your anti-theft fuse, at least thats what it was for me.

When the hood is open the arm goes off. When I open the door it doesn't. I just wonder if it's one of those things that when the top is down it enages. I don't know but I do thank you for the info.

Where is the Anti theft fuse located? My Fuse box covers missing.

when my alarm goes off my horn goes but no lights... and when i lock i get no beeps, curious if that might be a similar issue with the fuze and also curious where it is because even though i have my fuze box lids i havent seen anything that says anti theft

Do the interior lights come on when you open the door? If not, thats why your alarm doesnt go off.

I agree, I changed out both of my non-working ones for this reason. It's the black rubber switch with 1 screw holding it in on the bottom of both door jams.

i messed with my stock alarm for ever with no luck it will lock and arm but never would beep saying it was locked or go off. Put a viper alarm on and not looking back.

On my 1G the horn never beeped when locked (you locked it with the key or door lock on the inside) and i think the 2G's are this way too, but its been 12 years since ive seen one close.
