stock 4G63T hp and 1/4 mile times?

i have decided to leave my 2002 honda civic si as soon as i can sell it. i am going to get a plymouth laser awd, turbo, 5-spd. before i get it i was just wondering about the stock horsepower and times that the engine is capable of. anything else helps. thanks in advance.

There's a chance this might get locked, but oh well. Stock HP on a 4G63t is technically in the 200 area, however it's almost impossible to tell. No car that's between 12 - 16 years old is going to have the same power it came off the line with. Things wear over time and you'll have your power loss included.

Capabilities are a whole nother topic. As proven by Shep, the 4G63t is capable of some pretty incredible things.

what about the 2g's I have a 95 talon tsi awd, but doesnt really feel that fast, compared to my SHO I had befor which was 220 hoarse and 200 tq, and weighed in at 3300lbs.

This is likely irrelevant, due to the fact he isnt a tester for car and driver, which means he can probably not drive like one. With good driving, you could probably muster a low 15 sec. 1/4. And stock, the laser is rated at 195 to the flywheel.

HAHA, you are right. This is probably due to the automatic, and slightly more torque.

I dont care what anyone says, SHO's are real nice cars. My mechanic has a 550+whp Galant VR4 and a SHO as his DD. They are great cars and pretty reliable. With some high comp. pistons it has some go. Another guy I know has a Supercharged one and its real real nice. Yes a stock SHO should not be faster than his talon.

I dont think its irrelevant at all. If someone asks whats the 1/4 mile time you would want to know what a race car driver could do with it. Tells you what kind of times the motor can run and thats exactly what he asked. I think someone that has driven the same car and knows it for years could drive there car better than most pros.

SHO's are not auto's at least not the 220hp one's. The newer ones are autos and sport a mustang v8
