ok guys ive read that you caint use your stock 420a pump with a turbo application....but when i installed my 255 lph it was sending to much fuel to my cylinders causing my engine stay on for about 30 secounds bogg down and stutter a lil and die at idle... while driving for about 2 minutes this will happen also..

so i put my stock pump back on i know people say your not sappose to do this but ive talked to a member on here who has bin thew what i went thew and changed to his stock pump and the car ran fine daily drivin..so thats what i did and now it drives fine boost fine and ive havent ran into any problems...no bogging down or fuel cut hasent died on me eaithier...i have a 12:1 fmu also
any info you guys got will be appricated thanks.. but i know it works i bin driving for a lil while now and no problems with boost or fuel cut and im not running lean:thumb:

Do you have a way to measure the Air-Fuel ratio? More than an inaccurate POS narrowband?
It'll drive fine when you're not boosting, because you're not demanding anymore fuel.
Under boost:
53psi stock fuel pressure. 8psi of boost (I'm assuming) 12psi of fuel pressure for every pound of boost, 8*12=96. 96+53=149
The Walbro HP pump barely flows enough to keep up with those pressures.

You think the stock pump will flow enough? It won't.
You know what results from lean air to fuel mixtures? Either it's really bad and you won't get any combustion at all, or your detonating.

i get what you guys mean but i bin fine the cars bin fine and its not running lean....this is just so i can drive my car and get to work and home fine im going to order a 190 lph pump soon...its just the 255 was sending to much fuel and was shutting off my car all the time i would drive or sit at idle...

hhmm that sounds strange to me because i have a 96 eclipse n/t and i replaced the fuel pump with a 255lph hp pump i've never stalled or had a weird idle or anything. The reason why i put that one in was because my old fuel pump went bad and this was the only one i had so i put it in and left it there LOL. You sure its not something else that going on with you fuel system?

If the 255 is causing your car to run poorly, then your FPR is bad.

Also, how do you know your not running lean in boost with the factory pump? Do you have any evidence?

yea i do its called a wideband.......

i think maybe its because im runing a turbo set up and its sucking up more fuel...i think i might need a new fpr and something to controle my fuel presure with the 255 lph pump

Sorry Locke.

Dsmking, I would sit here and make a nice long post to explain to you why your above post is stupid, and how you're an idiot, but I don't want to waste my time.
Just listen to what we're saying and don't be a smartass.

Your profile doesn't say you have a wideband.
What is your wideband reading then? Saying lean isn't that much help. Lean is comparison to what?

I even gave you a nice little chart to show you graphs on fuel supply according to pressures. A fuel pump doesn't control how much fuel the combustion chamber gets. Just by putting in a bigger pump doesn't mean it's going to send too much fuel. As Locke said, if your car is running poorly, with your symptoms it sounds like you have a bad FPR.
