stock fuel pump w/ turbo

hey guys i have a friend he has a 420a hes installing the 14b turbo with a smic w/pipeing and he has all the lines and gaskets and boost controler,boost gauge he dident have enough money for a walbro fuel pump is it ok if he installs the turbo with the stock fuel pump for now and run a low psi just to start....or he needs the 255 walbro... thanks guys ill apperciate the help ...he has a 1999 eclipse 420a

He had enough money to get everything else but not a $65 fuel pump? WTF

that dosent help i need info not bs comments thanks ..i paid 99.00 for a walbro 255 on ebay for mine were do they sell if for 65.00????

I wouldn't run it. I accidentally ran mine on a stock pump and hit fuel cut very quickly. Probably shortened the life of the motor significantly by doing that. Don't drive it until you get a pump.

No boost at all until he has a proper fuel pump and FMU (or SFMU, MegaSquirt, PortFueler, whatever). Even at 3psi of boost on a 12:1 FMU will be demanding 86psi from the fuel pump. Factory pump WILL NOT keep up.

thanks for the info guys i appreciate it were can you find a walbro 255 for less then 99.00 because i found one on ebay thats were i got mine but my freind caint really afford the one on ebay right now but i herd you can buy it cheeper if so were thanks
