I decided to document this muffler change since I couldn't find enough details not only on this website, but on the internet.

Observation = The idle tone is a lot bassier and fuller, the higher rpms are a little louder but they are still pretty quiet IMO considering the massive power increase.

PERFORMANCE CHANGES
Before I had the Borla installed I did a test run on the highway to the muffler shop in which I saw 27psi in 3rd gear with the stock muffler. After the Borla install I did the same test in 3rd and the boost FLEW past 30psi and was easily around 32psi, with more left, before I had to let out. I let out since my tune has never been tested past 30psi so I couldn't take the chance of blowing a HG and boost was clearly past 30psi and still moving up. I then turned the MBC out 1/4 turn and the boost is now 28.5psi, that's pretty telling right there. I didn't think I'd gain more than 3psi since that seems to be the common boost creep after muffler swaps. In retrospect I should've had the boost lower so I could've tracked the true boost creep, my badd.
THERE WAS AT LEAST A 5psi BOOST CREEP AFTER THE SWAP
Spool up from 10psi to 30psi is WAY faster than with the stock muffler, it's not even close. The power gain is definitely noticeable, if you look at my mods, doing the muffler last if rarely ever the case so my results are probably not going to be the norm so take that into consideration.
Why was this mod last? = I was holding onto the stock sleeper look, not anymore.
My Talon is an automatic and it gained 250rpms on the footbrake stall from the change. That's a lot considering my mods and how my engine produces very little torque around 3000rpm.
MY MODS
PTE6152S in the T3 .63
Turbonetics Header with 3" DP, Test Pipe, Cat Back
FMIC into 66mm TB and JMF Racing Intake Manifold
8.3:1 Engine with Mild Ported Head, FP2 Cams
RESULTS
Gained at least 50hp (engine)
WAY faster spool up
250rpms on the footbrake stall
5lbs lighter
The biggest volume change is at idle, deeper (videos audio file confirms this too)
Not as big of a volume change while cruising and at WOT (videos audio file confirms the 3000rpm volume)
