OK... I have adjusted my idle, throttle cable, and timing ALL like they were supposed to be as per the manual... There are NO boost leaks and NO vac leaks... when the throttle is closed the idle lopes.. While its doing that, if I go under my hood and disconnect the closed throttle switch, it idles perfect but at 1900 rpm... I cannot get it to go down

Any other suggestions? I was thinking about resetting the ECU and re-adjusting everything nice and fresh.. My friends dad, who is master mechanic says its a vac leak, but I have checked NUMEROUS times and I dont... when the car idles steadily, vac reads 19-20 inches... Which is how it should be

Have you check the idle air motor and or adjusted the BISS screw???

Not sure if the 1G throttle body is the same as on my 2G but that where my idle problems came from.

How is your thermostat? My friend's car had a bad thermostat that would constantly circulate coolant, making his motor drop below normal operating temp and as a result have an abnormally high idle.

The cooling system is fine... New thermostat and I flushed the radiator a couple weeks ago...

The BISS screw is used for adjusting idle, and like I said, I already adjusted all of it as per the shop manuals instructions... The only thing I can think of is that the idle motor is bad, but it had no problems up until I readjusted my throttle cable... Im going to try to rest the computer and do all the adjustments again..

Any other pointers would be appreciated..
