ok here we go - im looking to stiffin up the right side of my car ---circle track 1/4 mile - what would be the most logical way of doing this --- we can not run coil overs or adjustable shocks - any suggestions on where i could find stiffer springs?...... im not looking to lower the car stock heighth is important here .....so im open to suggestions on how to go about this ...and please no bashing ---just looking for some good ideas ----spacers are out too... any positive feed back will greatly be appreciated - im no noobie at these cars but - some things are just way to difficult to come up with answers - every one wants to lower thier cars ----and im just interested in building up the right side - front and rear ------again you guys have been a big help here on everything and im sure u will be here to offer good advice -- im tired of those dang saturns eating our talons and eclipses up in handling ......again thanks

We dont have much option for higher spring rate springs without going coilovers.

Shocks in general wont help with steady state turning, so your left with coils and sways. All you can really do is to go with big sways which links both sides effectively increasing your spring rate on the outside during steady state.

For the transition you best bet will pretty much always be koni's for an OTS piece.

Interesting question.
According to the tech manual, stock AWD front springs are 1/3" longer than FWD springs, although they have the same spring rate.
Stock AWD rear springs are 13.1" long with 140# spring rate, while stock FWD springs are 12.46" long with 128# rate.
Also, the turbo FWD DSM has 18mm front sway bar, NT FWD has 17mm front sway bar, and AWD has 19mm front sway bar.
Maybe you could shorten one of the sway bar end links to tilt the car a little?

Yes you can swap them. Since the AWD springs are longer they'll tilt the car a little. Is that against the rules?

1st you should check what the other guys are running. That is a good start.Like I was saying in my last post is get a spring book with specs rather than applications. Then you could measure your springs and close what you need.I have no idea how to set up an oval car,but I know it is very different than a road car.

ok i realy appreciate all the useful information -----theres no concern about the car tilting with the different springs ----no one has realy tried doing much suspintion changing they pretty much run stock set ups ---im interested in maybe being able to use a little more power into the turns with out having to pedal the car ------im thinking if i can stay up in my power curve or at least close to it -----it will be much to my advantage ---- but please keep your thoughts and ideas coming - i realy appreciate all the sound advice im getting .....thanks:thumb:
