hey guys, i recently installed a lower rad hose heater into my 98 talon tsi awd and now the transmission is stiff as hell. Its hard to get into any gears and hard to find neutral. Its extremely hard to move the gear shift anywhere.I took off the lower rad hose spliced in the heater and put it back on. I lowered the car to the ground and when i went to put it into neutral so i could run the car to top off the coolant i found the shifter was incredibly hard to move. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, this is a pretty ridiculous situation all i did was take off a rad hose. :boring:

another symptom, it falls out of 3rd gear sometimes....and grinds going into first occasionally. Do these problems still fit with the shifter balance weight idea?

also check the actual linkage that is not bend or damaged... when i put in my solid bushings one of my lines got slightly bend and my shifter wouldnt go back to neutral unless i pushed it (side to side play)...

just have a friend shift gears and you look under the hood to see what and how its hitting.:thumb:
