ok i have the OE CD player in my eclipse and it just recently messed up. the time comes on and the clock etc. all work but theres no noise coming out of the speakers what could it be i checked the fuses and everything is all good

Stock amp might have burnt up. Speakers might have become disconnected, or they might have blown. Does the radio work at all, or is the CD player the only thing that doesn't work?

everything works, you can change the radio station and even fast forward a tape but the only thing is that no sound comes out

check your speaker connections.......is the wireing harness all connected and have you checked the fuse on your speaker's of the car and on the back of the stero deck......there is a car fuse and a stero fuse.

It's either the amplifier, or the speakers. If it were a fuse, the unit itself would not work. Test the speakers, then if they're good, your deck is fried. Replace the unit.

try the power cord to the amp.....if you sit in the passanger seat its on the right side all the way at the front...mine came unplugged and I was clueless....

only things it could be:

signal going from the HU to the amp
signal going from the amp to the speakers
power going to the amp
ground going to the amp

check all those connections, and if you're sure they're all good, it's probably the amp. honestly i'm new to DSM stereos, but i'm definitely not new to car audio as a whole. i didn't even know DSMs came with stock external amps, just figured it was internal to the HU like most OEM and aftermarket decks.

well im about to check the power chord to the amp. if its not that and i take trhe stereo out will it work again? i know its got that security theft system but i have my activation code. all i'll have to do it put in the code right? i have the OE infinity system.
