im planning on installing a 7 inch screen in the whole of my 1g talon (where stock headunit is) i was wondering if i could put my pioneer headunit up where the center air vents are located. the screen i want is just a screen and i will have the dvd player under the front seat, and i still want the radio and stuff. soo i thought the vent would be an awsome location. let me know if you think it would be hard or if it would fit or look decent. thanks

not too big of a deal really. take off the front dash section, trim away the ABS pastic from the heater vent behind it and then block it off. (i've used a piece of wood cut to fit nicely, and some window gasket sealer to seal it)

then for mounting the CD player, you can acually use your stock vent piece, just cut out the vents and trim it up nicely to hold the basket for the CD player. should be a simple install. you *may* need to do a little molding on that vent piece to fit the basket, but not 100% sure, i had already made a fully custom piece when we did this in my friends car.

good luck, and post pics of the screen and deck
