Medicine Hat,
hmm what is the best looking mounting kit for a 98 eclipse i wanna put my alpine HU in there and cant seem to find any kits other than the schosh which i heard is worthless... so how all do you have your HU installed

Find a factory pocket that mounts to the ISO brackets, then custom drill holes to put the deck as far back as you need it, if the factory ones aren't in the right spot for you. Good luck.

im using the stock radio braket easy install and help prevent thieves from stealing it they may trash it but at least they wont take it

"I want to install a single-DIN radio. What is the part number of the plastic dash pocket that fits into the other DIN space?
1G DSMers can use Mitsubishi part number MB522082. 2G DSMers can use MR147142.
Each has the required mounting system to fit the corresponding vehicle.

Chrysler owners can phone a dealership to get the Chrysler part number. The parts staff should be able to help you out. "

also when i go to cardomain it only has 1 wire harness and its speakers only does the stock deck have seperate power ground remote wires?

why not just use the schosh one? thats the one i have in my car and i think it looks great. and it only cost around $10. heres a pic of my schosh. sorry for the bad pick didnt have a good digi cam back then. pic is about 5 months old.

I like what you did there, but I put my deck on the bottom, and made a small blank plate outta aluminum and blacked it out. Now my Boost and oil pressure gauge are in that. Pocket? I dont need no stinkin pocket!

u think that looks like shit?. its one of the best install kits ive seen for an eclipse. ill take a better pic and post it. then tell me what u think. and as far as the pocket i like it. i keep my cd's in there. easy to get to when im driving

Mine is an aftermarket one w/ no pocket. Its just a flat panel. I mounted switches on it. I dunno how many different ones there are. Anybody know a few brands?

I believe I have an aftermarker metal install kit with NO pocket if any one needs it let me know. I will check tomorrow and see.

Actually the brand name is Scosche and we are in the middle of updating our Mitsubishi kit. We have a few more cars to test the new kit on before it comes out. I do agree that this particular kit is not one of our best but its getting fixed, i promise. Also, some one in the Oxnard, California area we need an Eclipse to test fit the kit in if you are interested we can work something out:thumb: :talon:
