Out of no where my cars been driving weird today. I start driving and notice my steering is going to the right. I hop out thinking maybe a flat tire and it looks fine. Keep driving then it goes to the left this time.

As i'm driving it will stay to the right then later to the left. I made a sharp turn and thought I heard a pop, thinking it was my control arm (dealt with one separating a few months ago) I parked and looked under and it looked okay. Driving home my steering was definitely off, and when getting home, parked I cut the wheel all the way left and right.

Any idea what it is? I'm thinking control arm but that's because I recently had it separate and had to replace it. I don't want to keep driving and roll the dice to when it breaks. Anything else it could be? Or anything to check. I'm going to jack it up and look over everything tomorrow

Mine did something similar to yours. Check your ball joints. If you just replaced your control arms and they came with ball joints double check them. One of mine came loose and I noticed what you are experiencing. Just a thought.

Well, I felt like my car would suddenly jerk to the left side and stay there for a bit then jerk to the right. It got really frightening and I decided to check it out. Sure enough. The ball joint nut had backed off leaving only a few threads from falling out. I replaced the nut with a good locking nut and I haven't had any issues since.
