Just started having this problem about two weeks ago. It only happens late at night, or early in the morning when it's very cold out. I will turn the key with the clutch in, and the car won't start. It doesn't even try to start. After trying time after time it will eventually start up. Any idea what could be causing this? Thanks.

It seems to only happen at the colder times of the day, so I'm not sure why that'd be.

Still looking for answers. The battery and alternator are fairly new + recently tested.

For reference, when I say starting when cold, I dont mean the engine, I mean the temperature.

how cold is it out when you're trying to start it?? I had a 1g awd that did that, never really found out what caused it...I was starting to think thermostat, because I had a new starter, battery, and alternator. If i put a small heater under the hood for about 5 minutes(more if it was around 0 degrees) then the car would start.

I would say, check thermostat.
