After getting my car tuned, I drove it for about a week. I started noticing that the clutch sticks to the floor when I go to shift after hard left turns. When this started happening, I started hearing a clicking sound from the driver side engine, the click gets louder when I step on the clutch. My initial thought was that my TOB was going but after some searching, I found a thread that had a similar problem and ended up being crankwalk.

I measured the crank end play and its .0055", which is within spec. Am I starting to walk or am I just getting paranoid. Should I drive it for another week or so and measure again?

.0055" seems like nothing to me. My book says the crankshaft end play should be 0.05-0.25mm, limit 0.4mm
Thats 0.0019"-0.0098" and limit 0.0157"

I asked about the harmonic damper because you probably don't have crankwalk, and since you're in-spec, it's not causing your sounds. However, a bad harmonic damper can cause that sound.

I measured the crankshaft end play again, this time from the crankshaft bolt, the reading was .0048". I tried take off the pulley, but I couldn't get the bolts off. I read somewhere that you don't want to move the crank in the wrong direction or else you may skip a tooth on timing.

use 17mm wrench or socket and put it on the exhaust cam gear bolt so you can hold it when you are trying to remove the pulley bolts ....

This thread is a disaster. More than half the posters in here clearly, have no experience whatsoever with the subject matter.

Different sources state different specs. the information I use states that .003" to .007" is spec. My car was measured at .006" @ 70k. It was then measured at .006" at 140k.

There is nothing wrong with your crank endplay. Do not pay this any further notice.
Do, however, consider inspecting your clutch assembly.

Well your book must be an aftermarket (which are notorious for inaccuracies) because the real Mitsu factory manual states crank end play for his turbo engine should be 0.05-0.18mm (0.0020-0.0071"), limit 0.25mm (0.0098").
But I agree he is within spec.

Thank you, no more measuring crank end play. Do you think that the ticking noise which gets louder when the clutch is being pushed in could have anything to do with the harmonic damper starting to go bad?
