starter will not work in the start position

My starter will not work in the start position but i do hear the fuel pump turning on. I replaced the power cable going to the starter, replaced the starter, battery and aternator got checked and are good. When i push start it, it will run. what is causing my starter to not come on?

Try replacing (or jumpering out) the starter relay. Note that it is normally closed and usually stays that way - it only activates (opens) to disable the starter (clutch pressed or theft alarm).

You can also try unplugging your clutch pedal switch (to prevent starter relay from opening).
