starter/tranny troubles

I have a 1g talon,auto trans bit the dust ,so i thought i'd put a manual in its place.I did all the shift cable and hyd clutch swaps without any problems.I bought a 1990 2.0 turbo laser for the 5spd trans.My car is a 1993 2.0 nt talon.The laser had a 6 bolt crank and the talon had a 7 bolt crank.I bought a 7 bolt flywheel for a nt 2.0.when i got everything put back together,The starter would just spin,tried all the other starters ,turbo and non-turbo,manual and auto.starter will not engage flywheel.After reading thru some other post's I have found out that turbo 5 spd's and non turbo 5spd's are different.If this is true could this be my problem?nt flywheel in a turbo trans?What would my best fix?

The turbo tranny's bellhousing and flywheel are both bigger than the non-turbo's.

The starter pinion gear is to far away from the NT flywheel's ring teeth.

You could get a turbo flywheel and clutch, or get a NT tranny.
Don't know what would be less expensive. All depends if you can find a good deal or not.
