My starter solenoid was stuck open while I was driving.
I drove with the solenoid stuck open for about 30 mins until I got home.
The car backfired and I felt a power loss.
I popped in a new starter and now when I turn the key, the starter turns slowly and grinds against the flywheel.
I replaced the new starter with a new one, checked all connections, and changed the starter relay and it still spins slowly and grinds against the flywheel. It still starts and turns over, but is unreliable. Today, I tried jumping the car, but to no avail.
I am currently charging the battery, any suggestions?

Which if that is true, it probably trashed your new starter also.
