Hi, For some reason my starter solinoid will "click" and im assuming its tripping over but the starter wont turn. i hooked the battery directly to the starter wire and it kicks the starter over. As of right now i use a ghetto push start ,but was wondering if someone could explain if this is just a short or some kind of common starter/ingintion switch electical problem. also Have already tried a brand new starter and did not work.

Could be a poor connection. or the starter solonoid is bad. what happens when u bypass is and apply power directly is that u bypass the solenoid. thats all u do like that.

I put power to the ignition/starter wire its not truly a bybass of anything just applying power that should come from when the key turns in the ignition. i assumed it wasn't getting enough because it was still attempting to click and before i go trying to rewire my ignition was wondering if there was some common problems :(
