I tried searching but I couldn't find excatly what I was looking for. In my haynes book it showes the starter motor near the fuel filter but I don't see it back there at all. I have a 92 N/T 2.0....so where in the world is the stupid thing? I am thinking it is the starter because when I try to start the car all I hear is a whirring sound and the engine does not want to crank at all....so I am thinking the starter motor is not working right? Anyone agree with that.

The starter is attached to the tranny, from the motor side, under the intake manifold. It's tucked away, but once you see it, you will think "duh!"

Or you can follow the wires, it has a power going to it...
