Just follow the positive cable. You'll be able to see it from a birds view of the engine bay.

If you get one of the hayes or chiltons book they tell you how to remove it. And don't be afraid of it it may look like a PIA but it is very easy.

You do not need to take off the intake manifold. It's 2 bolts under the intake manifold on the bell-housing of the transmission. Take out your battery and it will help alot.

I have never taken out my intake to replace a starter. It may have said to take off your intake pipe as in intercooler pipe. But you shouldn't have to. Just find the starter and move whatever is in your way.

Please DO NOT remove the intake mani to take out the starter. Go at it from underneath the car.

just undo the bolts from the top. It is much easier that way. take off the upper IC pipe and move the batter and you'll be fine. Much easier than trying to unbolt it from the bottom. Undo the two bolts from the top, pull it out from the bottom.

I just replaced mine last week, I took it out from the top and I didn't have to remove anything else to get to it, it took me about 25 minutes to remove and replace.

Undo the two bolts from the top, pull it out from the bottom.

OK, I'll admit it...I'm a dumba** and don't know which car of mine I was thinking about. The quote is correct.
