Toronto,
So I was looking at my front mount being placed on my car, and it suddenly struck me how small the star kit intercooler is. I see you hahn boyz got it made on that one. Oh well this is going to have to do for now.
Anyone know of another intercooler that is bigger but matches the piping route of the star kit's sperco intercooler?

Yeah the thing is small as hell but when it's in it doesn't look small...i guess it does the job though...

with the whopping 7-15lbs you 420a guys run i wouldnt worry about it to much. :thumb:

oh god that was so damn funny let me pull myself off the floor from laughing so hard :|

does anyone know the specs on how much the star fmic is suppose to be able to flow?

I've been looking everywhere to even find a site that has the dimensions of the star intercooler, but no such luck. (I could easily go measure it myself but I thought it would at least be online)

Can anyone send the link to the thread that compares the hahn stage 2 and the star stage 2?

:toobad: I'd like to apologize for idiots like this.

One day he'll lose to a forced induction RS, and out will flow the excuses.

welll im glad your intercooler fit i have a tiny one too but when i put it up in there it didnt look to small at all acually looked really good . well beings its a 1.8 turbo:p o and all the moderators and wisemen that posted on here no offense but you didnt say anything helpful all you did was yell at people and tell then how useful their threads are and just because you have the privelage to say or do almost anything you want im gonna have to ask to please keep it somewhat fair...

about the star... a friend of mine has it on his gst. he had a 20g on his car boosting about 17 psi. It was enough for him then. He now has a 60 trim or something like that, I believe now he needs a little more.

I have been using a STAR FMIC on my car for the past few months.. it is supporting my 16g at 20lbs, and 23 lbs on racegas, the intercooler has been definately doing its job. The piping is kind of weak at 2 1/4", however I e-mailed some vendors that are selling the kit and they claimed it is actually a spearco core on the star turbo kit. The core itself look good, it fits my 99 eclipse front bumper 100% perfect, there are no gaps. The reason I opted to get this intercooler is because I got a deal on it for $350 shipped with piping, vs. the competitive $750-$1000 intercoolers on the market, which are without a doubt more efficient, but perhaps more than I need.

you can see a picture of my star intercooler at the top of my page

your over confidence is your weakness, there are many boosted 2gnt's that could hand it to you. Hell if your at the shoot out im sure we could find you a race.

I'm not sure how this turned into a me vs 420a showdown. I have nothing against 420a. I used to own one. I think its awesome when you guys turbo them, takes a lot of work and determination. If a regular street turbo 420a can hand me my ass i would shake his hand and say "wow" thats fast. There are a few turbo 420a's around here and i have raced them at the track and completely stomped them. AWD and 60 trim owns all of them easily. So if anyone wants to bring there 12sec/11sec 420a's down here then ill give you directions to bandimere.

Burnette03, from the looks of your car and your mod list, its pretty fast.
so lets everyone drop this bickering, its getting to overkill here. Were almost on the second page and most of the replys haven't been about the topic.
