I will be taking my GSX out to the desert next weekend to compete in the first ever Mojave Mile. I will be in the Grand Touring class which has a 165 MPH speed limit. I have no idea how fast my car will go in a standing mile but for this year 165 will be it even if the car has more in it because I don't have the safety equipment installed to move up a class.

I'm just looking forward to bringing my four banger out to play with all the Corvettes and Vipers.

Wow, that's awesome......sounds like a killer time your going to have. With 440 AWHP you may approach 165 mph......I know conditions(wind, etc.) will play a part as well.

Good luck and definitely post up after with your results!:thumb:

thats legit man sounds like a blast. Be sure to get a lot of pictures and if you have access to a camera or a friend id be real interested in checking out some clips. keep us updated :thumb:

That's awesome, good luck :hellyeah:

I'm going to rig up my camera for some in-car action plus there will be an official DVD of the event that should have some outside shots of some of my runs.

I will defiantly post up my results no matter how good or embarrassing they are in here.

MOre information on the event can be found here, http://www.mojavemile.com

I wonder if the registration is already full? maybe I should bring my Supra there.

aite, peace.

There is a late fee now but I don't think they hit the 150 car limit yet.

I'm a sad panda right now, my turbo blew the other day and it doesn't look like my car will be back in action in time to properly prepare it for the event so I can't do it this year.

They don't have a date yet but they said they are planning one for the Fall.
