finally after months of my car sitting i fixed it!!! yay for me. so now i need to fix the little things. its a 14b turbo with basic stuff. i dont think it has a walbro pump or anything like that. basically when i give the car lets say anything more than 25% throttle then let off in neutral, or pushing the clutch down it stalls out. im not sure why its doing this. i have a safc2 that i did not tune. is there a possibility that it is not set up correctly? let me know if you have any ideas. thanks a bunch

well first off do a boost leak test to see if there are any leaks. Your blow off valve is recirculating back into the intake pipe right? I assume you dont have a gm maf since you said your mods are basic. Venting your bov will cause your engine to stall if your not running blow thru.

well i guess i forgot to mention a few things. i do have a 2gen maf and the bov is vented. so i recirculated it but it still does it.

Ok well tighten every clamp on your intercooler system, from the turbo outlet pipe all the way up to the throttle body. If that doesnt work go to VFAQ.com and follow the steps to do a boost leak test. That needs to be your first step to figuring out the problem. Keep us posted

ok will do thanks. could this also lead to a boost leak, my car seems to be very rough at around 2100rpm in every gear. could this also be something?

anyone???

i dont really understand what your asking now. Yes it seems to be a boost leak but the only way to be sure is to boost leak test. Complete the test and let us know what happend.

i was wondering if there is any relation between a boost leak and the rough engine at around 2k rpm
