stalling, leaking and hesitating

Hey guys. I have this problem with my 95 gst. Right now it's stalling everytime I come to a stop, when I start accelerating I hear a huge leak (sounds like it's coming from the front), and when I get near full boost the car starts hesitating like crazy. I brought it to one mechanic and he couldnt find out what the problem was, so I brought it to another one and they said that I needed to get a part that they described as "basically a muffler that goes between the intercooler pipes and the intake manifold". Now i'm basically as far away from being mechanically inclinded as possible so does anyone know what this part would be called or if there just making up stuff or what? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
