Is it worth the extra money to order stainless steel piping? There is a little weight savings and thermal properties right, but a 3 inch steel exhaust would not hinder performance in anyway. Plus the welds would not be stainless, and those are generally the first to go right? How long does a stainless steel exhaust last versus a mild steel or aluminized exhaust?

this depends on your goals and pocket.sure SS is better the aluminized steel, and it's supposed to last forever, but our cars wont so go figure,If your going over 350 HP then yeah get the 3",if not,it's just overkill. You may loose allitle bit of low end torque from a 3" exhaust. If I had the money, then yeah,I'd get SS,it's shiny. :D other then that the steel will serve your purpose just find.
