stage 2 cam intake stage 3 cam exhaust?

well the other day i was tacking apart my fully built 420a because the timing belt barring broke and smashed all my valves in to the pistons. will doing so i was pulling the aem adjustable cam gear off the end and broke the cam shaft hdamn. so i was looking on jegs.com and yes you can buy just one camshaft. well i was running the stage 2 cams and my question is can i run a stage 2 on the intake and a stage 3 on the exhaust?

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't running 264/272 the same as going Stage 2 and Stage 3 respectively.

I would think "stage 2" would be 272 and "stage 3" would be 280. You need to give us actuall numbers and what exactly are your plans with the car before you start thinking about changing you powerband?

the car was made for roll racing its a top end car. and stage 2 is not 272 this is a 420a not a 4g63. but yea right idea.

Regardless, once you figure out where you want your powerband then you can decide how much lift you want on your cam duration. With a 60 trim you would (should) be fine with the cams you looked at. Check out Delta Camshaft and see what they can do for you.
