Stage 0 Free Mods Questions

I already made ALL the free mods this website have on the stage zero. The only mods I haven't done are the ones related to the vaccum lines and the EGR... I don't have any clue about in what way this will help my car??? Can somebody explain it to me...

I almost finish all the Stage 1 mods and I was wondering if that free mods (I didn't take care of) are needed to continue with stage 2 mods???

Any help will be appreciated a lot. Thanks in advance!

the only free mod that i would say is important is cuting away the stock aircan

Benefits to the vacuum/EGR cleanup:

1. less hoses to look at/worry about leaking
2. less dirty air (EGR) and oil (PCV) in the intake

They aren't necessary to do by any means. You will see little to no gain in performance from doing this, the true benefit is the elimination of valves and hoses that can break or leak, which can cause problems. But there are 20 other hoses and valves to leak and break that you can't remove, so it's not like an all-inclusive deal.

You will be fine either way.

don't evern bother with the egr,not worth it in my opinion.

Unfortunately, the internal combustion engine is not `perfectly good.' The modern multi-valve, high compression engine can create NOx (Nitrous Oxide) during the high temperature combustion process. NOx reacts with sunlight to create atmospheric problems such as smog and so comes into the category of 'not a good idea'.

EGR is considered a `metered intake leak' and was developed to reduce the combustion temperatures to below 2,500 degrees, the threshold where NOx is created. Not unlike putting a brick in your lavatory to lower the volume of water used, the EGR valve meters a readily available inert gas (actually exhaust gas which contains a lot of very inert Carbon Dioxide) into the combustion chamber to effectively reduce the volume. Smaller effective displacement means less fire, and less heat and thus lower temperatures, thereby controlling NOx emissions
