In park car runs fine for the most part. Revs in park fine. Under load it runs poorly and stutters. Poor sperratic idle (good then back to stutter). I can excelerate slowly sometimes, with more success of inertia.

I thought it was a fuel injector (after unplugging one it was acting similar to its poor running condition), so I replaced all my stock 390's with 450's. Im almost certain the car is running lean (runs alittle hotter than normal, inside exhaust tips leave alittle white). Items like fuel filter and pump come to mind. Yet my main question is since the cars runs and revs well most of the time in park, would the pump and filter still be some idea problems?

Another note- I dont think its a turbo problem, it boosts, but the car doesnt go along..i.e. not enough fuel..

Check for boost leaks first. Then check the plugs and wires. The plugs will tell us alot of what is going on.

If you are worried about the engine check the compression.

Have you played with the maf at all or gotten any cel codes? Have you checked your tranny fluid level?

sounds SOMETHING like what problem i had ... result:blown head gasket:cry:

Same problem here but I've checked and replaced the plugs, wires and the fueil filter. I've checked the coils and both are good with Ohms of 13.8 each. Could it be my O2 sensor, or could a failed catalytic converter cause this stuttering problem during high RPM?

The cat being clogged will cause a lot of problems at higher RPMs or with the TB open (based on air flow). You can pop off your j pipe (3 bolts) and see if it fixes it. If it does then it is a clogged cat.

Just an update .. Cut off cat, didnt fix the problem as suspected. Im sure my cats toast anyway since I've been runnin it lean while tryin to fix problem. Ill keep updates..hitha.

OMG Just a follow up. Wires at the coil werent on tight. dohhhhh! Replaced plugs and wires problem was gone. So for u fellow stuttererers. Even though ur wires may seem tight they may not be. Didnt seem like a spark problem , but it was.
