Ive already cut through the metal to get the piping to fit. Now I am trying to bolt the intercooler to the front of the car. The install instructions say to use the fog light screw hole and go through that. Now should i just get a long drill bit and line the intercooler up with that hole and drill completely through? Then just use a nut o nthe other side of the bolt to tighten it down? And do the same o nthe other side? If so I am going to need a pretty long bolt. Anyone know what I should do?

You can do that or you can use self tapping bolts. I would use a bolt with a nut on the back and some lock washers.

i didnt get mine lined up perfect.

wasnt possible with the AC junk in there.

have you looked at the writeup in the tech articles on this site?
there is an EXCELLENT write up there.

you will probly need to trim a bit off the center top mouting tab, mount that first., then see where it needs to hang, and drill the sides.

imho this is a very good intercooler.

Those holes are threaded IIRC.. You should be able to get a bolt that fits, and use a couple of nuts as spacers. This is what I did

When Installed I didn't want to put something that wasnt going to have a little give so I opted not to go with nuts and instead went to the plumming isle and found some hard rubber spacers and used those inbetween the intercooler bar and the foglight holes. I also used washers on the front. Mine is on so good I could use it as a bench if i wanted :rocks:

Basicly, line it up and it doesn't have to be perfect just make sure the hole lines up with the hole that has a thread inside the frame (Where foglight was mounted).

Then, is optional to put a nut or a few washers in between the frame and the FMIC tab. Reason to put a nut or washers is to prevent the power steering lines from touching the FMIC.

Lastly you need a long bolt to go through the tab > washer/nut > thread hole in the frame, in that order.
Make sense? Good luck.
