Hey whats going everybody sorry if im posting something somebody else posted. Well here the deal when i start my car no matter if its hot or cold it makes a squealing noise i was told it wasnt the Timing belt, im thinking its a pulley i just dont know what one....if anybody knows that would be great.....

Another thing going off topic my transmission is slipping has anybody tried Lucas Trans Fix....if so let me know if it worked

well do you have a/c still on your car? its either an alternator belt or powersteering belt or your a/c belt, its not a pulley though. just do an inspection of your belts and whichever is even just a little bit worn replace it, or replace all of them to to be sure u fixed the problem. post back.

The most common belt I see giving that problem is the alternator belt. It takes quite a lot of horsepower to pull it and if the belt gets loose or contaminated, it will slip thus squealing. Check all belts for cracks or chunking and replace as necessary. Tighten old belts or replaced belts until they are firm and do not slip.

As far as your transmission, if it is slipping you probably have a stopped up cooling line somewhere and this can cause overheat in the trans.

Brace yourself for a trans overhaul. Very few recover from being serviced/Lucas oil installed. Very Very few.

so your saying if you use lucus oil, you will most likely have to overhaul your tranny? sounds like a bad product if this is true....

yeah I just bought a 96 rs with 100k on it, replaced the water pump and timing belt the day i bought it.. and i'm also getting a squeeling sound around the timing belt/water pump.

Thanks guys for the help, and yes i still have my ac, and the belts all seemed to look fine ill look into it further.

And hopefuly this lucas Trans fix will work wish me luck LOL.

That only happens too my car when its cold becuase of the belt. All i did was get some belt dresser sprayed it on and it went away! :thumb:
