Spyder trunk light

so inside the trunk of my spyder I never noticed the light on the left side. Does anyone know what makes this light come on? Or is it just another thing Mitsu never wired up?

It's supposed to come on with a liftgate switch or luggage compartment light switch (which one depends on whether you have the factory alarm). However my switch never worked so I installed my own manual switch next to the light (switches red/green to ground). The light uses the engine "room lamp" fuse.

Ok so I undid the 2 screws and actually pulled it out and there were no wires or anything running to it. I do have the factory alarm.

Maybe mine was that way too I don't remember. Just wire up a switch.

That's what I plan to do I just wanted to make sure I wasn't just not seeing the wires or anything
