It's supposed to come on with a liftgate switch or luggage compartment light switch (which one depends on whether you have the factory alarm). However my switch never worked so I installed my own manual switch next to the light (switches red/green to ground). The light uses the engine "room lamp" fuse.

Ok so I undid the 2 screws and actually pulled it out and there were no wires or anything running to it. I do have the factory alarm.
