ok just a quick question. mitsu wants 2800 for a new top does anyone know if that is just the fabric or if it includes the frame. thanks

Well, the list price for the fabric is about $1000. With about 16 hours labor required at normal dealer rates, $2800 sounds about right. They wouldn't replace the rails unless they were damaged.

Thats gotta be the whole frame,cables,motors,switch,relays and whatever else goes in there...thats crazy.You can find OEM replacement Hartzz Stayfast Canvas tops on ebay for something close to $400 shipped and you could then take that somewhere to have it installed or do it yourself.My top is in horrible shape and I have been researching getting it replaced for months now.

yeah guy, check them on ebay for like 375-425$. Dont waste your money at the dealership.........

I paid $700 (including installation) to have mine replaced at a convertible top shop. $2,800 is waaaaaaaay too much in my eyes!

Look for a different shop. Ask them for a breakdown of parts and labor. Be prepared with ad copies showing that you know that tops are available for $400. Negotiate.

you know there are adjustments for the tops so that they dont leak from the front i work for chrysler so i have access to all tsbs there is one for the tops
