I have like 3 or 4 threads in the past couple days on this subject but I feel like I'm not getting anywhere because I'm not being descriptive enough for you guys to actually help me. Again, I changed the speed sensors and it fixed the problem for a week or so. The car is getting stuck in 3rd gear, won't down shift or go into o/d. Also, it shifts hard into 2nd. Hopefully this video will be a lot more helpful to you guys. I'm really trying to avoid taking it to a shop to have looked at. Oh yeah, and the check engine is an o2 sensor.l I just want it fixed and sold so I can get my gst.

P.S. I've been googling how to fix this problem for over a month so it's not like I haven't been trying. I'm just getting nowhere.

Have you checked for transmission codes. What condition is the fluid, and is the fluid low? Starting more threads won't help you out at all, it is actually not a good thing to do at all.

The fluid isn't low and I don't know what condition it's in. And I wouldn't know how to check for transmission codes. I'm new at this.

a. Check the fluid level. im sure this has been done already, but its always the first thing to check. Make sure its topped off with Mitsubishi diamond or compatible atf.

b. Heat. If your radiator is getting hot or your tranny cooler is plugged your transmission can overheat.

c. Electronics. I would start with getting codes, and if possible, go pick up another tcu at a junkyard.

You could also have bad shift solenoids, valves, or a number of other internal transmission problems. In this case, you will want to see a transmission shop.

It's also a good idea to check the wiring for all of the sensors on the outside of the transmission. Make sure everything is plugged in, and nothing is cut or melted.

Worst case scenario, your transmission is blown and you need to swap in another one or have yours rebuilt.
