I am boosting pretty good expect when In 1st gear and a little in second when I boost it spits and spudders at 9 to 14 psi once it boost past that everything's fine I don't know why? At first I thought boost leak because when you have a torn coupling that's what it feels like but If I had a boost leak it wouldn't let me keep boosting right? I did a blt and I think I have a boost leak at the injector seal IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE? Is it a bad tune maybe?

Also have a howling noise when I boost and I cant find out what it is. But the spuddering problem started before the howling so i don't think that the problem.

ahhh good ole boost leaks...im dealing with them right now too man as are many other dsm owners...yes it is very likely that the injector seal leak is your problem especially if its only one seal than that could be why its not a solid fuel cut and keeps spooling past that rpm....bad tune is also a possiblilty but I would try fixing the boost leak first....do you have any form of datalogging?

Do a boost leak test. also check your injector seals. Engines tend to misfire if you have a bad injector seal. Do you smell gas whenever you start your car?

Are you still running the stock turbo? Have an AFPR with the 255lph mentioned in your profile?

The howling you hear could be a boost leak, or maybe even the fuel pump, but check the turbo for shaft play first. If it only happens when you're in boost I'm inclined to believe the turbo is damaged. Either way, it's the easiest to check first.

BTW, a $90 J-pipe designed for a FMIC would really clean up that intercooler plumbing.

Yes I have a data logger but I don't know how that will help me. I didn't notice if i smell gas but when I rev it up to like 5k it spits and spudders to ONLY AT A STAND STAND STILL THO. I also did a boost leak test(blt) and i watched my boost gauge and I couldn't build past 16psi but the injector seal makes a funny noise...LOL.. maybe that's why...IS A BOOST LEAK TEST SUPPOSE TO TAKE LIKE 3 MIN TO BUILD LIKE 25 PSI OR IS IT SUPPOSE TO BE ALMOST INSTANT?

Replace the injector seal. You found the leak.
The amount of time it takes to build pressure depends on what kind of compressor/pump you're using to do the test. The important thing is how long it stays at the pressure once you get it there.
Might want to replace your plugs as well.
The datalogger would show O2 sensor voltage and timing advance versus rpm, and we might be able to figure out why it's sputtering.

Yes stock turbo and I was thinking its about to take a poop to. No afpr but I think I got burnt on that 255 pump suppose to come with car but never checked and i can't hear it running im going to check it monday my next day off. But the howling goes away at like 15 to 22 psi(Datalogger says no knock So please no comments...LOL...) I have the dejon tool j pipe..LOL

Well yes I should of thought of plugs they are new but have been sitting for 3 months. Im going to order injector seals from the dealer tomorrow when it goes in for the transfer case recall.

best thing to do when you do a boost leak test is. Take a bottle of soapy water spary evertyhing cuplers ic pipes bov intake manifold by the injectors throttle body. then put some pressure in the system and you will all your leaks.

Thats how I pin pointed the injectors. Plus the sounds hissing noise to.

You said the plugs are new, are they 6's or 7's -and what did you set the gap to?

Check out the flange for the compressor outlet on this one from Punishment Racing, note how it routes the piping towards the drivers side. Theirs is only $69 with shipping included.

Well the dealer says there $72 can I take them from a junk yard although i have aftermarket injectors and they will be from a non turbo car will the seals work?

Will they work if so im going to go pick them up today?

Your great I just ordered them along with a vent gauge pod with next day air so I should have them Monday.

Yea no crap I was thinking $72 installed but no just for the upper and lower seals I'm like ok I'll pass and just wait till I buy new injectors...LOL....
