ok so little while ago i decided to buy a MBC from TurboSmart. I got their MBC and my friend and i put it on my car and played around with it until i ran good clean, stable 16psi. Shortly after (which has nothing to do with MBC install) my CAM angle sensor went. So i replace both CAM and Crank senors just because and now with new sensors and nothing else done to the car, i cant go over maybe 12psi without the car sputtering and acting like its trying to boost fully to 16psi but cant. Not nessasarilly hitting the "brick wall" i know what that feels like but could it be possible boost creep? boost leak? or bad PCV valve? sometimes i can get the car to full throttle and after checking under the hood the dipstick is raised slightly, which im told is pressure in the block and can be caused by or is caused by a bad PCV valve. Can that also cause me to not run full boost? has stock turbo with SMIC and im told 16psi is not too much for the stock turbo. if anyone has any input or knows exactly what i should do i appreciate it.

thanks in advance
Aaron

Was it cold out when you installed the MBC? Cooler ambient temps will affect boost. Check and make sure there no boost leaks or cracked vacuum lines then go from there.

As far as the dipstick, pinch the steel tube slightly until you get a good, tight fit with the dipstick.

Uhh it was around middle november. so i guess it couldve been cold-ER but not AS cold as it is now. but i do recall seeing the flexpipe that is going from the SMIC to the turbo is rubbing up against the crossmember (i didnt install the flexpipe/the stock air box there was removed also) but ive been meaning to replace the flexpipe with hard tubing and my friend believes i may have a boost leak around my BOV. You can pull the BOV out with your hands without loosening but it takes a little strength (idk if thats normal/also its a aftermarket greddy type s) but as for the dipstick, you dont believe it could be a bad PCV valve? thats just something ive read it could be. also still has stock downpipe, friend said he though he heard a leak there but idk if that would effect the car going full under boost. thanks in advance.
