car hits boost then hits a brick wall.

i am guessing this is a boost leak since i just put my new FMIC on and they sent radiator hose as opposed to silicone couplets. the car runs fine till she hits about 3/4 boost or so and then draws back like it's hitting a huge wall, and i can hear sucking real loud in the engine bay. buy silicone couplets and it should fix it right? i have to get a slim fan to it's making one of the ic pipes bent on one of the couplets.

yeah, sound like a leak in the intercooler couplers. Replace them and keep us posted.

sounds like the couplers are leaking, i mean it boosted perfect before swapping to another intercooler.

im almost positive it's a leak, the couplets suck and the C pipe from the t-25 did not fit the next one quite right ### of the stock fan, have silicone couplers and t-bolts on order, along with a slim 10" fan. will let y'all know on thursday or friday when they show up what happens. is the car safe to drive the way it is, if i baby it with no boost?

Boost leak? yes thats possible.. but getting a fmic frees up some of the airflow correct.
So what im saying is get a boost leak test done and if it fails its most likely fuel cut!!
Fuel Cut is caused by to much airflow for the MAF to read.. the MAF tells the ECU how much air is going into the engine so the ECU knows how much fuel to use, and when you out flow the MAF, the ECU cuts the fuel going to the engine causing this feeling of hitting a break wall!
Not saying thats you issue but if its not a leak then i would look at this as your issue!
And if so you would need to get something to support the air flow like bigger injectors and to support you injectors you would need something as like the DSMLink, MAFT, or SAFC system!

HOPE for your sake its just a boost leak!

To the OP, do a boost leak test. Did you use hairspray on the couplers when you put the FMIC on? I doubt your couplers them selves are the problem. Don't go and waste you money just yet. Go over everything again(during your boost leak test) and make sure everything is tight.

well i already have the couplers and fan on order anyway, the stock fan is messing with the piping lining up just right so at this point i will just swap the fan and see if that helps and re tighten everything.

Getting back to tha fuel cut possibility, what kind of fuel mods do you have?

As for tha hairspray, it works tha same as soap and water in a squirt bottle. Whenever air is being released, it gets trapped in tha soap, creating a bubble effect.
