i have a question a few nights ago i was running my car and it seemed ok got a wild hair up my ass and decided to top out hit about 135 and stopped accelerating so i let off and put it in neutral and then the rpms dropped and it died. i drove it to a gas station and it seemed fine looking at it. but now when i gas it it sputters when i hit more than 7lb boost. this is a fairly new rebuilt head and good block i just replaced the engine. before i blew it and had the same problem there was a chip in my valve so it sputtered when givin gas. so i took it home and pulled the plugs all look dandy. what else could it be? seems like fuel but i have no idea i pray to god that its not serious like last time. any help?

Is it when you are accelerating under WOT now? Does it hit boost then just jerk the car around or whatever you want to call it. If it does it as soon as it hits boost you might have blown your turbo. I blew mine in texas when both oil lines got clogged (wtf i know ). A little more detail on when its happenings, RPMS, %of throttle stuff like that would be nice to help you accurately diagnose the problem.

same thing happened to my car and i took it in and it was the valves gone bad and dumping oil down the cyclinders causing it too die. does it die all the time when you kick it in nuetral now?

no no it idles and stuff smooth and drives 99% normal but when i WOT and hit around 5 or 5.5k rpms it starts to jerk around. other than WOT and like 5 grand it runs perfect just about. but what could it be? and im hitting like 14lbs on a stock setup dont know if im creeping cause i did the mbc thing and silence and have open dp. and its not stock boost gauge i have afteramarket

feel like your hitting a wall? FUel cut
Could be your running to lean also, might need an safc to richen it up a bit. grab a friends logger and see waht you get.

From my experience, and im not God mind you so if someone has a different experience with MULTIPLE cars let me know.

1 out of 5 cars hit fuel cut at 16 psi of boost. My tsi spyder never hit fuel cut, ever. A tsi AWD did i know and the other awd didnt. then two other gst never hit it. Its random, i havent found a trend with fuel cut or when it occurs. If your hitting a wall its most likely fuel cut, if its surging could be BOV not tight enough (spring tension) allowing premature air to pass through, could be alot of things. Do a boost leak test first.

ok thanks man your a awsome help haha. its just i have been talkin to my buddy and he has the same exact car and he hits low 12s and knows it out the ass so im gona hook up with his pocket logger and find out but thx and im all stock basically and only hitting 14 lbs not 16
