Alright so I have a 99 gs special edtion tan leather interior with black accents and such. The plan is going to be taking the stock tab speaker grills off spraying them black and doing a red mitsubishi emblem in the middle. Gives it a little bit of a nicer look without having to buy new grills. Will have pics when it's finished

Be careful, they are really fragile and tend to easily break when you try remove them. Most speakers also come with their own grills - that's another possibility...although I wouldn't do it myself due to the fact that your advertising to theives what sound system you have.

Piper im not trying to bash or anything but everybody likes different things... I dont think that he should not do what he thinks looks good, these are the things that makes an interior different from others. Personaly I say if you want to do it go for it, and if you do not like it, it can be reversed. Simply sand it primer and paint. Or you can even get new or used ones... I think its worth a shot.:hellyeah:

I'm almost positive that Howard Hughes' giant sea-place had speaker grills with logos. Google "spruss goose" and see.

wait...there was a "special edition" tan interior for the 99...? I thought the black was "special edition"

My ext is black and I have tan and black leather inside. Whole top of dash and center console is black with black inserts in the door. The doors are tan along with carpet, headliner, back plastics, seat belts, and tan leather seats

how do you reattach the speaker grill? isn't it held to the panel by like melted plastic tabs?

Yeah mine we're broken to begin with so I painted them and crazy glued them back to the tabs
